I always wanted to be Lydia Deetz when I grew up

Smart, observant, true to herself, and a bit dark in an unintentional way. I was the kid drawn to what others found strange: anatomy, the uncanny, and artists like Francis Bacon, Louise Nevelson, Edward Gorey, Artemisia Gentileschi and Ralph Steadman. Luckily, my mom never tried to sand that down; she let me be the little goth kid with a big heart and endless curiosity.

That curiosity carried me into opticianry and ophthalmic healthcare, where empathy, precision and calm communication were essential. Those early years taught me how to listen deeply, stay steady and support people in vulnerable moments.

From there, moving into XR, digital delivery and creative technology felt natural. I have always lived at the intersection of structure and imagination by coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, translating between creative and technical worlds and turning complex ideas into organised, executable reality.

Working in this space has made me a better human and a better mother.

It taught me to prioritise, to focus on what matters and to let go of the myth of having it all. I believe in sustainability, honesty and boundaries that protect the quality of my work.
